Typically we collect from Glasgow Central Train Station, International Airport or nearby hotel at lunchtime, the drive to Ben Nevis is 2.5 hours and we aim to start the challenge at around 3 pm. Finishing 24 hours later at 3 pm the following day we then drop off at Chester station or nearby hotel for people to travel home.
We find that this works well as the challenge can be completed over a weekend and there is no need for accommodation which keeps the cost down. Alternatively some people choose to arrive the evening before and perhaps also stay over the night after the challenge and travel home again the next day.
Organisation, logistics, transport, mountain safety / guiding / marshalling.

There is nearly half a century of tradition involved with the challenge and lots of variations in style. The typical challenge involves climbing.
To complete the classic 24 hour challenge you must start at the foot of Ben Nevis and finish at the foot of Snowdon having reached all three summits.
The Challenge covers around 40 km of horizontal distance and over 3000 m. of ascent, all in 24 hrs. with limited sleep. The challenge is tough and you need to be fit.
We are based in the Lake District, the "Adventure Capital" of England: A place where many professional mountaineers and guides make their home, this means we have managed to bring together a team of dedicated, qualified, professional and experienced people to work with us.
All of our team hold National Governing Body qualifications and are certified by the MTA (Mountain Training Association). some are also members of local mountain rescue teams. They have the experience necessary to look after people in the most extreme of environments and conditions and have spent their working lives guiding and instructing mountaineering and climbing, both in the UK and around the world.
We have significant experience and expertise when it comes to organising and looking after people on these types of events.
